Jacob Silber
CEO

Jacob founded Tenizen in September of 2014, most recently coming from sister company HubAnalytics, where he was VP of Marketing Analytics. His background spans Finance, Operations and Technology, and he has been part of the start-up community in Boston, New York and Washington, DC for almost 20 years. While born in Boston, he grew up on a small farm in Western Maine. He currently lives in Somerville with his wife and twins.

Andrew Christo
Director of Operations

Andrew Christo joined Tenizen as a Senior Quantitative Analyst in October 2014. His background spans several large financial institutions as an Analyst in the Fixed Income, Credit, and Foreign Exchange markets. Andrew is a Massachusetts native, and has enjoyed living in Boston for the last 10 years.

Brian Eck
Vice President of Engineering

Brian loves fusing cutting-edge technology with world-class customer experience. He has spent two decades building major consumer-facing properties, most recently at Staples and Disney. Brian holds a degree in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and lives in Belmont. In his free time, he enjoys climbing mountains and watching the Patriots.

Nicholas Comment
Lead Data Scientist

Nick joined Tenizen in December of 2014 after graduating from the University of Michigan with an MS in bioinformatics. He enjoys extracting useful information out of truly enormous datasets. In his free time, he dabbles in probability theory, daydreams about dogs, and cooks up new recipes.

Stephen Tang
Senior Quantitative Analyst

Stephen joined Tenizen as a Quantitative Analyst in March 2015. He was drawn to Marketing Analytics after graduating from MIT in 2013 and going on to work as an Analyst at DigitasLBI. His interests are in marketing behavior and behavioral psychology, and in his free time he enjoys cooking, playing various video and board games, and treating his dog Charlie like a big baby.

Vy Nguyen
Data Scientist

Vy has joined Tenizen as a Data Scientist. A graduate of MIT, she did business research for Sloan and worked as a data analyst for Allen & Gerritsen, an independent advertising agency based in Boston, MA. Vy entered the start-up community in November 2014 at sister-company HubAnalytics before coming to Tenizen. Her favorite pastimes include problem solving, cooking, baking, and martial arts.

John Pappas
Principal Software Architect

John has joined Tenizen as our Principal Software Architect.
He holds a MS in Computer Science from Boston University and has worked at several companies in and around the Boston area including Staples, Fidelity Investments and Brown Brothers and Harriman.
John has recently participated at the Yale Hack event as a mentor and judge and outside of work, he enjoys playing with his 6-year-old daughter and bike riding.

Tom Mason
Quantitative Analyst

Tom has joined Tenizen as a Quantitative Analyst. Tom recently graduated from Tufts University with a background in Quantitative Economics. He is very interested in using mathematics and technology to model the social world and to address social and economic issues. In his free time he practices martial arts, works on math and logic puzzles and reads lots of books. Tom grew up in New York but has lived in Boston ever since coming to school in 2011.

Kyle Dooley
Senior Software Engineer

Kyle is a graduate of New England Institute of Art in Brookline 2010. He’s been ground floor on a few web marketing teams and is excited for this new startup adventure. Kyle enjoys  snowboarding in the winter and tuning cars in the summer months. Also, he’s been a Boston resident for the past 2 years.

Kayla Comalli
Software Engineer

Kayla is a Ruby On Rails Launch Academy graduate from the Spring 2015 cohort. She previously worked as a Medical Technologist doing clinical testing for neurodegenerative disorders. In her free time she enjoys coding RTS, sidescroller and interactive tutorial games. Kayla also competes in high-endurance athletic tournaments, is a long time and competitive video/board/card gamer, listener and dancer of EDM, cosplay costume builder (mainly EVA armor, leather working, metal greebling) and amateur Chinese brush painter and sculptor.  

Jonah Leshin
Senior Quantitative Analyst

After graduating from Brown with a PhD in math, Jonah spent a year in academia before joining the startup scene in Boston, most recently analyzing data at meQuilibrium. He has a passion for developing and testing quantitative hypotheses. Outside of the office, he plays tennis, roots for the Patriots, and performs volunteer work.

Michael Yang
Quantitative Analyst

Michael recently graduated from Boston College with degrees in physics and math. He is interested in data and automation, and is very excited to join the startup scene with Tenizen. Outside of work, Michael is a foodie, an avid gamer, a music blogger, and a puzzle fanatic who enjoys taking long walks.

Josh O’Dor
Strategic Account Manager
Josh joins Tenizen from a rapidly growing information services firm in New York City.  As a graduate of Boston College, Josh is glad to be back in New England following graduate school in Chicago and five years touring the world with the United States Army.  Outside of work, Josh is a happily bumbling father and an avid runner who can be found most mornings running somewhere along the Charles.
Bala Iyer
Principal Software Engineer

Bala is a full stack engineer who loves diving into new technologies and creating wonderful user experiences. He has developed software in a variety of industries including semiconductors, health and wellness, biotech, and defense. A sports enthusiast, Bala played soccer while at Cornell University, but today enjoys more relaxed atmospheres that matches his more relaxed waistline.
